OCTO:Open Core for Technology Orchestration/TDOMS/Getting Started
Octo Registration
An Octo account is required to use TD/OMS plugins. You can use our public Octo server to try it out. Your internal data will be safe. There is no way an outside user can access the data on your host. All access to your IBM i will be done through your VPN or over your network only. Sensitive data is not stored in the Octo server but on your local PC.
The public Octo server is here:
https://octo.remainsoftware.com
When visiting Octo for the first time, the login dialog will be displayed, click on the "Join Octo Now" link and fill in your account information.
Install your TD/OMS Octo Rest Servers
The Octo server uses Rest Services to communicate with the outside world. This section explains how to setup the servers.
Create a TD/OMS Configuration
After the settings are done, you must point Octo to the just-installed Rest Server.
Point your browser to https://octo.remainsoftware.com and log in.
If not already done, create a workspace TD/OMS and add the Work Management Plugin to the perspective.
Press the configuration button...
...and add the server information (your IBM i server, port 45011, library and HTTPS).
