If an error or exception occurs while running the Gravity UI then it might be helpful to bring the Gravity log viewer to the foreground. This view will contain informational messages but more important any errors that occured during a specific action or processing step. You can bring the view to the foreground by pressing the following toolbutton: on the top level Eclipse IDE toolbar.
If you find that the errors logged is insufficient to determine the cause of an error or exception then you can temporarily increase the logging level to TRACE so that more information is captured during a specific action. The TRACE log level can be set by selecting the menu option Gravity->Trace Logging Enabled. This is a toggle menu option, pressing it again will disable the TRACE logging.
