TD/OMS And Full PHP Object Relations’ Support

Wednesday, December 03, 2014
We're happy to announce an enhancement to our flagship IBM i application life cycle management product, TD/OMS. From now on the overview of all the PHP components’ relations is facilitated by a graphical impact analysis functionality. The enhancement is available December 2014.

TD/OMS IBM i application life cycle management to streamline work of PHP developers

“PHP is one of the most commonly used scripting languages for web development and Remain Software has been supporting customers developing PHP applications on IBM i with comprehensive application life cycle management solution, TD/OMS, for a long time. The new TD/OMS functionality makes it even simpler than before to manage the PHP components effectively” says Wim Jongman, managing director and CTO at Remain Software.

The major enhancement allows TD/OMS perspective including graphical impact analysis, showing all PHP component relations to be easily displayed within TD/OMS and other PHP editors, for example, ZEND Studio. The PHP component relations are part of the TD/OMS extended relationships. The component relations are not limited to the components being managed within TD/OMS, which means that all functions and classes that are being used from within the component are visualized. TD/OMS supports an endless drilldown into the using and used by relationships. In addition, it allows management of all relationships between PHP, RPG, Java and any other components in the database.

This latest development is a preannouncement of an upcoming TD/OMS upgrade to version 7 scheduled for early 2015.
