Remain API Studio and RPG
For IBM i users, it is possible to use Remain API Studio alongside our RPG Generator to create APIs that have all of their backend code written in RPG. That makes everything easy to understand for development teams. The APIs are still written according to OAS standards, but instead of utilizing Java or Python or PHP or Ruby, everything is RPG-readable so that your development team is instantly able to understand and modify the process easily and quickly.
Build APIs with Remain API Studio and the RPG Generator
The RPG Generator will use boilerplate code to build the framework of your API, based on the parameter set that you specified at the API level, to enable you to simply add in your business rules or data retrieval process into a copybook that will be used at code generation time.
Using a copybook in this way allows for customization of the code to fit your exact requirements without any need to worry about breaking the API structure. Another RPG routine can be called that returns the appropriate data you want to share or use RPG or SQL to go to your database to retrieve what is required.
