- Enhance DSPLOGOMS (Work with Jobs) screen : The DSPLOGOMS screen now includes Occurrence date and Filter search options to easily find jobs by Date, Job Name, User, Job Number, Task, and more. For more information, you can see the DSPLOGOMS documentation.
- SQL ALIAS processing : Until IBM makes the ‘for system name’ available for the ‘SQL CREATE ALIAS’ command, the command RNMSQLIMPNM – Rename SQL implementation name has been created to rename system-generated names assigned to long file names and alias names.
- The Object Loader has been enhanced : The fill object file is now enhanced to load up to 1 million objects at the time.

TD/OMS V18 Milestone 1 delivers a range of powerful updates designed to boost productivity and streamline workflows. Highlights include enhanced compile error visualization, improved transfer and log history management across both VSCode and Web, and new capabilities in the OCTO Transfer Wizard. This release also introduces advanced tools such as the Component Editor Plugin, task-based Comment Management, and reusable stored search terms, ensuring a smoother, more efficient user experience.
Octo now includes new chart features like fit-to-view, fixed tooltips, and improved dark theme support. A built-in media viewer lets you view images and videos directly within Octo. It also syncs with your VS Code theme and remembers layout and plugin positions. With a sleek gray-silver theme and faster performance, your workflow just got smoother.
A new feature has been introduced to provide users with greater control during the transfer process. Users can now choose to hold a job at the time of transfer by selecting the ‘hold’ option. When enabled, the system automatically places the job on hold, allowing for better coordination, troubleshooting, or staged execution. This enhancement ensures more flexibility and precision in managing job workflows.
Enhancements were made to the REST API and Managed Deployment System to improve deployment and transfer operations. Key updates include the addition of a cancel method in the Transfer REST API for cleaning up temporary records, the inclusion of a progress path and job description details in the Transfer API, and logic to hold jobs based on selection during transfer. Integration with Import/Export TD/OMS was implemented, along with the introduction of the OMQCHGRJ API to support closing and reopening remote transfers.
