TD/OMS V19 Milestone 1
Simplifying the Journey to Fullstack DevOps
New and Noteworthy in TD/OMS
Remain Software is proud to announce the launch of TD/OMS V19 M1, a significant update that introduces a range of advanced features and enhancements.
Key Updates in TD/OMS VSCode & Octo WEB
- ServiceNow : ServiceNow integration is now added to OCTO. Tasks and any entity that extends it (Incidents, Problems etc.) can be viewed, filtered and linked/unlinked to TD/OMS tasks.
- New IFS file wizard : Added a new IFS File Wizard to simplify the creation of IFS files. The wizard guides users through selecting the target environment and route, specifying the destination directory and file name, and creating the new IFS file.
- Stashed Branches : The Branches plugin has been enhanced to show the stashed branches. Besides filtering, restore and purge actions are also available on a single or multiple branches. With a simple option, the users can now switch between the active and stashed branches.
- .…and many other nice enhancements.
Octo AI Studio
- Octo AI Studio / Ollama Manager : Ollama Manager in Octo AI Studio provides a unified workspace for managing Ollama servers and models. Connect to multiple servers, install and run models, test prompts, monitor performance, and review API activity—all from one intuitive interface.
- Octo AI Studio / A Richer MCP Administration Experience : As a first step, advanced OpenAPI editing is now integrated directly into MCP Admin, bringing powerful editing capabilities into one unified workspace. The AI MCP Admin Tree View has also been upgraded, providing richer navigation and a more intuitive, modern interface for browsing and managing OpenAPI definitions and MCP servers.
- Octo AI Studio / Build, Manage, and Deploy AI Skills : The improved Skill Admin delivers a streamlined workspace to create, configure, preview, and deploy AI skills across supported platforms—from one powerful view.
- .…and many other nice enhancements.
IBM i Core
- Remove CRTZIPF command : The CRTZIPF command has been made obsolete by recently added native IBM i command CPYTOARCF. The command has been removed and the programs using it have been updated. If you use CRTZIPF in your own programs then these programs must be changed to also use CPYTOARCF.
- Prioritize Build Queue Based on Dependency Hierarchy : When multiple related objects have the same Default Sequence Number, dependency-based serialization is required to ensure the correct processing order in the Build Queue and Transfer. This serialization was already implemented for Transfer, where the Processing Sequence Number was assigned in decremental order. The existing Transfer dependency serialization logic was rebuilt and is now used for Build Queue prioritization, assigning sequence numbers incrementally based on object dependencies. This ensures that related objects with the same Default Sequence Number are prioritized and processed in the correct dependency order.
- OMQCHGNT - New Object Template : This API provides a solution for creating new object templates through a command-line API and a REST API.
- .…and many other nice enhancements.
