New and Noteworthy in TD/OMS V18 Milestone 3

Remain Software is proud to announce the launch of TD/OMS V18 Milestone 3, a significant update that introduces a range of advanced features and enhancements.

Key Updates in TD/OMS VSCode & Octo WEB
    • OCTO’s Ai MCP Factory : The brand new Octo Ai MCP Dashboard lets you convert any OpenAPI file (yes, any, including your own) into a fully fledged MCP server. API endpoints are automatically transformed into MCP tools, ready for immediate use in VS Code, IBM Bob and Antigravity. Generate the MCP server and manage its tools from one central dashboard. No setup, no glue code. If you have OpenAPI, Octo makes it work with Ai. (Bonus: After activation, you get the TD/OMS MCP Servers fully integrated with VSCode and Bob)
    • BitBucket Server Integration : OCTO interfaces with BitBucket (on-premise servers). Users can view, filter, and link pull requests to TD/OMS tasks, similar to existing tracker plugin integrations.
    • Freshservice Integration : OCTO also interfaces with Freshservice , the ticketing system from Freshworks. Tickets can be viewed, filtered and linked to TD/OMS tasks similar to the other interfaces that the tracker plugin supports in OCTO. Jira, and Gravity were already supported.
    • Copy Object Enhancement : Users can now easily create a new object by copying an existing one directly from the context menu. A Copy Object option has been added to each component in the Components view for quick and convenient duplication.
      .…and many other nice enhancements.

IBM i Core
  • Support for SQL UDFs : Internal SQL function relationships are now correctly reflected in ‘Used By’ references.
  • Improved INZGITOMS : INZGITOMS – TD/OMS init. GIT Repository has been updated to copy source members using a configurable naming setting, controlled by the registry OMQIFSSRCNAMEC.
  • Git : We are preparing for a Git interface rebuild and we now ship the first integretion command BLDIFSOMS which can be hooked into CTRL+E in VSCode to upload, attach and compile sources from Git. The previous version of the Git interface was centered around RDi. The new version will be IDE agnostic so that it can be integrated in any IDE or DevOps pipeline.
  • Improved Installation Version Checker : It has come to our attention that in some situations versions can be skipped with the TD/OMS installation program. We have added checks to ensure that product installations are always correct.
  • Added Signature to OMLOGGER Service Program : We have added a signature to the OMLOGGER service program. OMLOGGER enables logging into the TD/OMS log. If you are using OMLOGGER in your own programs, then these programs should be recompiled.
    .…and many other nice enhancements.
